The distinctive and prominently labeled Fanvil X5U-R in red is instantly recognizable even from a distance. It is specifically engineered for use in critical situations, ensuring quick identification of devices in emergencies, such as fire stations, hospitals, government agencies, and more.
Consequently, we needed one for our hamshack. 🙂
Backgrounds:
We initially aimed for a background with a more “darker” vibe than the default (pleasant) one. Through the web interface, we obtained a screenshot of the background and used GIMP to change it.
Following the upload of the new background, we replicated the same process for the DSS background.
Ringtones:
We found ourselves in need of new ringtones 🙂 , including a silent one and our own callsign encoded in morse. A Batphone ringtone was also avaliable through the Hamshack Hotline discord.
Morse (PD2EMC) Ringtone WAV
Silent Ringtone WAV
Batphone Ringtone MP3
Icons:
I saw someone modifying icons, but i’m currently unable to make them function properly. However, once i successfully do so, i’ll share the details here.

Perfection of means and confusion of ends seem to characterize our age.
